Om provided Siddhartha with motivation to continue on his quest for enlightenment when he was about to commit suicide, also helping him overcoming his doubts and fears of forgetting his lessons from the Samanas. Om also gave Siddhartha peace when he would pray.
Kamala and Kamaswami granted Siddhartha knowledge of the material world. Kamala taught Siddhartha how to love another human being, making him explore his sexuality, and taught him how to induldge in the power of money by purchasing clothing. Kamaswami further taught Siddhartha how to indulge in the power of money through the art of business.
Siddhartha learns about listening from Vasudeva and the river. They also provide Siddhartha with the knowledge needed for him to achieve enlightenment.
